The denouement was more crappy ending than happy ending. However, it was written with breakneck pacing and a modicum of love, and the opportunity for snark in this series seems endless. Knowing Wing as I do, I took a particular joy in picturing her apoplexy when I saw lines I knew would make her scream at the sky and ball up her dreaded Fist of Rage.

I read more Twins than High and I remember it better because I was able to own and reread them.
As a whole, I like Twins series better, but most of the best books are from High. I preferred the Twins series too. The characters in High are just nasty. At least in the Twins series, they have more personality and some redeeming qualities. The series also feels different somehow.
